Jan Aitken - Life Coach
A born and bred Kiwi, Jan loves living in the beautiful city of Dunedin with its cafes, fresh air, University, diverse population and cultures.
Jan has spent 25 years working as a Registered Nurse, building relationships with patients and their families and supporting them through major life events and changes. She noticed that people’s attitudes and outlooks had a huge impact on their health and quality of life. Something she found out first hand after falling down a bank and injuring herself.
Jan decided to make use of her observations and become a Life Coach, helping people create a life they love to live – a healthier, happier, dream-fulfilling life.
With this in mind Jan has undergone three years training with Coaching School, CoachU (www.coachinc.com) completing the Advanced Coach training Programme . She is a member of the International Coach Federation (www.coachfederation.org) and believes on-going training will help her maintain the highest standards possible for her clients’ benefit.
A regular at the gym, a keen skier and avid reader, Jan also enjoys catching up with friends over a glass of wine and good food. “Life is to be enjoyed,” she insists. “It’s about creating your own balance and having fun is really important to me.”
Little known fact – Jan is a fire eater! After boldly claiming, “I’d like to do that,” she nearly passed out when a friend (who Jan didn’t know was a fire worker) said, “I’ll teach you”! This has meant some of her friends now call her "That Flaming Coach" and she will certainly help you to flambé your fears and create an exceptional life.

Janet Cox - Personal Trainer
Janet grew up in the city of Manchester in northern England, longing to be in a place where it was easy and inexpensive to pursue outdoor activities. In 1994, Janet fulfilled her dream and moved to Dunedin, New Zealand.
Once there, she lost no time getting her feet wet in various water sports - including white-water kayaking, canoeing, canoe polo and rowing - she's a passionate oarswoman! In her own time Janet actively trains and participates in multi-sport and endurance races. But she wasn't always the gleaming example of fitness she is today.
Once upon a time Janet entered a 10k road running race, despite the fact that at this point she could barely jog for 15 minutes at a time and weighed 85kg. As she trained, she got fitter and lost weight. Janet completed the race and started to feel really good about herself. This gave her the motivation to join a gym. During the next twelve months, she lost 25kg and ran a number of 10k and half-marathon races.
Since then, Janet has taken up road cycling and swimming and she's competed in an Iron Man event and the Kepler Challenge (60km mountain run).
The increased energy, better health, lower blood pressure and cholesterol level that come with a more active lifestyle, inspired Janet to help others who want to make a commitment to their own health and well-being. She left her career in the Information Technology field to work in the health and fitness industry.
Janet has worked as a Personal Trainer since 2003. She helps people like you move toward their own fitness goals, whether those include walking more effortlessly through your everyday life or climbing the tallest peaks!
