Hi my name is Janet Cox, I am a REPSregistered Personal Trainer with over 8 years of experience and knowledge in the health and fitness industry.
I studied at Otago University and gained a Diploma in Sport Studies. I am aNetfit qualified Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor. I also have a keen interest and good knowledge in sports nutrition.
My passion is to help people achieve their goals, to motivate, educate and inspire them to achieve long-lasting results while having fun & keeping it real.
I consider myself a real person, not your typical personal trainer or a born athlete. I have come from the same situation that a lot of my clients start from and therefore understand the journey to becoming fit for life. Before I decided to make changes in my life, I was overweight, unfit and unhealthy.
Once on my own journey and with help from my own personal trainer, I found that I had increased energy, better health, lower blood pressure and cholesterol level that came with a more active lifestyle. This inspired me to help others who wanted to make a commitment to their own health and well-being. I left my career in the Information Technology field to work in the Health and Fitness industry.
Today you will see me at the gym getting my regular dose of exercise in. Be it a weights, cardio session or a thrashing from my personal trainer, I strive to improve my fitness, endurance and strength because I want to be fit for life.
I also actively take part and compete in events such as the Kepler Challenge Mountain Run, Le Race 100km Road Cycle, the Contact Epic Mountain Biking event and many half marathons. I love working out, pushing myself and continuing to make myself a fitter and stronger person.
